Capabilities

Safety

At HGC, Inc. employees take jobsite safety very seriously; the standards we require of our employees and subcontractors frequently exceed OSHA requirements.  Through training, monitoring and motivation, safety is the normal way of doing business at all HGC, Inc. jobsites.  In 2007 HGC, Inc. adopted the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries rules and regulations as policy.

Project Management

Quality control is vital to the success of every building project.  Our total project management approach includes detailed construction documentation and cost verification. This streamlines the entire building process and ensures a professionally constructed project with a realistic completion schedule keeping you informed with timely progress reports and construction schedule achievements. Our Project Managers utilize construction management software and ensure project control for all phases of construction. Our subcontractor control system ensures that our subcontractors maintain timelines and adhere to the highest performance standards that ensure quality workmanship.  Project management is the art of directing and coordinating human and material resources throughout the life of a project by using modern management techniques to achieve predetermined objectives of scope, cost, time, quality, and participation satisfaction.

Accounting

At HGC, Inc. our estimating department streamlines the process of completing estimates and incorporating them into projects.  Tracking codes are used to produce activity-based cost estimates which are in turn used to track job costs and billings for each job.  We provide comprehensive takeoff, estimating, and proposal management which allows us to provide a comparison on the original estimate/proposal to current budget, current cost, and cost to complete.  We work closely with you and your architect during pre-construction to ensure an efficient, cost-effective, and affordable design. During construction we hold all trade contracts and assume complete responsibility for cost and schedule.  Working in your best interest throughout the entire project, we help to ensure maximum value at lowest cost. Combining industry knowledge and construction accounting expertise, HGC, Inc. has developed policies and procedures over the last 14 years to ensure the accurate cost accounting of projects that provide relevant, timely, and accurate information

Advanced Project Scheduling

HGC, Inc. uses CPM (Critical Path Method) scheduling to accurately forecast the work activities to be done in a complicated construction project, indicating their duration and the time frame and sequence in which they will be done.  This modeling of the planned construction process is developed into a “network” of activities that reflects the plan for the job at a given point in time.
